Red Sea test kit

So I've been trying to get my calcium down for a while now about a month. Started doubting my Red Sea kits and just went to lfs to get a second opinion and I was right. My calcium is 450 and my test reads 500+ and alk is 7 and rs reads 9.6.

Do you think if I contact Red Sea that they'll swap out the kits?

Are you sure your doing the test correctly? Their test kits are pretty well regarded for being pretty accurate.

As far as I know yes. The alk is pretty straight forward, add 10ml water and add orange liquid until it turns orange

So does that mean our test the other day mayber wrong?

I have Alkalinity standard that I can give you a free sample. LFS test kits may or may not be accurate.

I use Salifert Alk test kits. Every time I open a new box of test kit, I test it against the Alk standard solution I have. So far Salifert test kits are spot on for the past several years.

Ya
The calcium read over 500 at your house so it's probably around 450 and the alk read 9 I think so it's low if the lfs's is correct
