RO/DI Water System Opinion

I think that its time to splurge for a RO/DI unit. I found one on EBay for decent $$$. Any opinions on the unit? Are all RO/DI units the same functionally, I know the output on them is different?

I don't know if they are all the same, but I bought a Typhoon III and I love it. Doesn't seem to have any problems. I did notice, however, that now with the warmer weather == it seems to produce more water per day (well water is cold)

I second the Typhoon III. The people at airwaterice were very helpful. When I received the units and I was missing the manuals they were very prompt and I had electronoic and hard copies mailed quickly. Very easy and great to do business with.

This is what I have if your interested. Comes with a TDS meter and an extra filter. Has a filter for chlorine, not chloramine.

I got my RO/DI unit from seller, filterdirect, on Ebay for around $150 (including shipping).

It's the same unit that others in BRS have, the WaterGeneral RD-106.

You can buy it direct from filterdirect for more money here:

But I recommend doing a search on ebay for them. You'll save about $100, and it's brand new. Sometimes it's called model RO6100+DI, but they are the same. I called and talked to the guy at Filter Direct, and he confirmed they are the same model.
