SAILFIN TANG HEALING FROM HLLE

I just bought ($10) this sailfin tang 3 days ago from my LFS because i want to bring him back to full health. Hes definitely has some new growth on him and is eating alot and looks very happy in my tank. I was watching him in a small 10 gallon tank for weeks and decided to take him home to my 90. What are the best foods besides just nori to help him get back? And will he evr have his full sailfin back?

Poor lil guy, fatten it up w good eats and it will come back I'm sure

Good job rescuing him. He sure is a cute little bugger. You can try soaking nori in selcon or another vitamin supplement. Otherwise, just a good quality diet and good water quality.

How fully fins grow back seems to depend on individual fish (or maybe species?). I've seen some grow back, and others heal but never regain their former glory.

Here is an update on my sailfin tang with HLLE i bought 8 months ago i figured it will take a long time to get him back but he is doing very well and you can see a difference in growth on dorsal fins and also gained his tail back completely!!!
