Recently purchased, for my BC14, a NC12 skimmer made by Sapphire Aquatics via Nanotuners.com. I had a question about the skimmer, and was referred by Nanotuners (who helped me all they could) to SapphireAquatics (SA). SA called my cell phone within two hours (even though they were closed or the day) and helped me over the phone. He gave me his cell number and told me I could call him at any time for futher assistance.

Turned out that we were just being too cautious with inserting a connection - we were afraid to force a fitting. There was no problem with the skimmer.

i got the nc24 version and it skims very well. im not even going to compare it to the fission!

So far so good. We do get some light tea color skimmate. But we don't have fish in there yet. So a very low bioload. Adding the skimmer was in preparation of adding fish to the tank.

But it does take some stuff out of the water now with just corals and a few inverts. So I think it's a good indication of its future performance.

A good skimmer should be able to produce skimmate from saltwater and rocks alone.
