Skimmer leak

Wondering if anyone owns a coralife 220 super skimmer hang-on. Just bought one and it leaks on the underneath of the main chamber. It leaks at the seam on bottom plate that seals chamber. Common? replace or Should I exchange it for a better built skimmer?

IVe never seen or used one. but it sounds liek a manufactures defect. I once tried to get in a-mircale hang on skimmers, 3 of em came in and leaked .

Yeah, it's defective, but looking at the thickness of the plastic and the weight of the water putting pressure on the seam will they all will eventually leak? Seems like a good design just they could of beefed up the material a little more so there is no flex in the joint. I will probably just exchange it and fit the new one in the sump.
