Stock Tank Bulkhead installation help

What you are planning, drilling a 1 3/4 hole for a 1 inch bulkhead on the flat is what most people do.
Might have to grind off a seam inside if it's in the way.
I siliconed the standard stock bulkhead in and then plumbed from that.

yeah - I was at tractor supply today and these 50 gal ones do not have any bulkheads but on the flat part there is like a faded looking circle outline almost as if it is where you are supposed to drill it if your going to...

Also is there a standard cleaning method on these tanks before adding to your system or just rinse with the hose and go for it...

I've only had the 70 and 100 gal. ones.
I just hosed mine out and installed it.
I have a 70 gallon for my sump,sold the 100 gal.
