Tank deconstruction.

I have a old 10 gal with a cracked bottom and want to save the sides for sump baffles or tank divider etc.. What is the best way to dismantle the entire tank down to it's 5 individual pieces.

Really!! I wanted to try to cut the seams apart with a razor knife but didn't know if it was a wise thing to do, stitches aren't pleasant. lol I guess I'll have to toss it.

Dare I say it's not worth saving? Yup.

I redid the seals on a 75 once and the easiest part of the job was stripping the old sealant. Use sharp razor blades and be careful. It will peel away easily. Do the inside first then run a blade between the panes. Keep using new blades because they will dull quick. HTH
