Tank disposal boston

Hey fellow reefers,

I recently had a leak occur on my 60 gallon reef. As it would be hard to get rid of this tank for free I decided to trash it. I have switched cars since purchasing the tank so guess what doesnt fit in the car. One option trash.
Now I know boston is very lax on their trash removal but was still 50/50

Anyways this thread is just so anyone else with the same question I had can find the answer.

Boston trash just took my tank no problem. 1/4 glass 36x18 tank.

I could not find this answered anywhere so I figured I would share.

Yep, I cracked a 40 a few weeks ago and they took it and the sump no issues. They only seem to really crack down on construction debris.

You can always smash it into small pieces and recycle it. But check with the town for glass recycling regulation.

I was going to say the same thing. Break down to smaller pieces and pop it in the recycle bin.
