it wont melt the plexi but it will trap heat because it wont have a place to rise as well as if it were naked, the benefit of directed airflow will be negligible with this type of heatsink i would think. the fan on top will already keep it plenty cool without the plexi. it does look sleek though, to further complicate your build, you could get some kind of thermal cutoff that will work on the AC side of the meanwell, they sell it on nanotuners or you could look for a high powered one on eletronics websites like mouser or digikey(my preference, cheapest shipping for small orders)

Changes

Thanks to doctaq for pointing out some weakness in my design. I bought four 80mm fans and some aluminum and changed it to this. Please excuse the drops of water, I rinsed the drilling scraps off.
