Sean replied to the post, (cristata.reef) he ID’ed it as “likely a polychaete (likely bristleworm) epitoke (reproductive phase)” He’s the go to ID’er on IG, a literal walking dictionary for reefs. Can practically ID everything reefs, he’s a shark researcher, def check his page out too for some amazing photography.
 
I have them too--are they harmful to corals and how do you get rid of them?
They're not really harmful to anything ,well, possibly getting a little sting from one.
I think of them as just part of the clean up crew.
Some have reported them eating zoas. But, I think it's more likely they're just irritating them.
