lighting conversion DIY tips

[Shark bite]

I have an old 48” compact fluorescent fixture that I would like to convert into a T-5 fixture. It held 2 -24” CF bulbs, 1 at each end. I am currently running 2- 250W Aqua Medic MH on my 72G bow front mixed reef tank. I would like to add some actinic lighting and thought that would be a good way to do it. I would like and comments or advise on parts to use. (or vendors) ::

probably cheaper to sell it and buy a brand new fixture - parts tend to run more expensive than assembled for some reason.
