Plumbing - Fitting Questions

Hey guys,
I recently picked up a new (to me) tank, stand and a sump that is hard plumbed really nicely with schedule 80 unions. The problem is, where I would plumb in the return pump, it has a 1 inch (roughly) male threaded fitting. I need to know how to transition the threaded male fitting down to a 3/4" barbed fitting so that I can run a foot or so of silicone tubing to the return pump. I'm not very good when it comes to transitioning plumbing. (Can send pictures later if you need clarification).
Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks everyone!

You can swing down to Lowe's or Home Depot pick up a reducer. Plumbing fittings can get confusing so I would recommend bringing the pump in the silicone hose with you so you make sure the transitions fit the way you want them to. It sounds like you need a 1"FPT TO 3/4" Barb adapter.
