Good job !!!

This is what I call pruning. I do the same. If you left a small piece of coral tissue most probably they will grow back. But when you have again a small colony you can do what you did and keep them in just one rock and enjoy their beauty.

Are u guys serious about the pleasant smell dead xenia give off?

Pull some out, leave it in a baggie, wait a few hours then come back and take a big whiff.
Then come back here and report your findings.

Believe me I would of if It wasn't built in my living room wall. In my opinion any species that can spread as quickly as zenia should not be introduced into a display. Lesson learned for me. I'm sure this stuff will keep popping up for a while In My tank
