Great idea! I just set a timer and, crucially, my RO bucket is in my downstairs utility shower so no harm if it overflows. But I like this ASO addition for automating things and not wasting water.

tied into a controller to power it on and off, you can have it auto fill your RO/DI at a regular interval. Optical sensor has no moving parts to fail (except if you manage to knock the magnet outside your container off).

After the prefilters but before the membrane. Side 1 and 2 on switch. Product of membrane but before the DI unit side 3 and 4 on switch. Pressure builds on side 3-4 and flips a diaphragm closing side 1-2 shutting off flow to the membrane. Pressure drops diaphragm flips open and it fills. Same kit that a drinking unit uses
