Ok so the noise from the water dumping into the sump was driving me nuts! Then I remembered using corrugated hose in my sump years ago. Above is what I was using and below is what I switched to, the noise is gone! Almost silent tank now

I need to get socks period lol but the corrugated tube really helped slow down the water I'm gonna try that

Right below waterline so it stops jets of water but you won't see it from top or side

Good idea but it would get covered in coraline I bet
