Anyone have rust on MAG pump?????

I have 2 mag pumps currently in use within my system and a third as part of my water making set up/utility pump for water changes. I am noticing that a few screws and part of the casing is showing rust on 2 out of 3 of them. How bad is this for my system since they are both submersed in my sump (one for my skimmer and one for my return)???? They have been running for less than 1.5yrs. So i feel as though this is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. Is this to be expoected? is it common? or is it worth me going to the company to complain but again more importantly is this going to negatively affect my system in the near future?

the screws rust all the time....it isn't unusual

unacceptable......well, that's up to you. A little iron helps my cheato grow.

The screws on my mag 7 have a little rust on them and have for atleast a year. Doesn't seem to be causing any problem.

I've seen some people put a dab of silicone over the screws.

Ive been running a MAG12 in my sump for over 5yrs, little rust on screws from taking cover off to clean and replace impeller. Never has become worse.
