Anyone knows what this pest is?

Does anyone knows what this white thing is eating up my hammer? I can only see it at the rim of the skeleton in the morning. I tried to suck it out but it stuck on pretty good and then tried to sneak right back underneath the flesh.

Also, would dipping it into Revive Coral Cleaner Dip get rid of it?

The white thing is the base of the hammer’s flesh when it is separating from the skeleton.

I’d dip that whole thing then cut the affected head off and separate them so you don’t get the brown evil stuff on both heads. Chances are, the dying head will get it soon.
