Hi Folks

A friend of mine has ordered two of these from her local LFS.

She asked me what I thought I looked them up and found them on this site.

They seem cool looking - We are just questioning the 6500K color spectrum with the blue LEDs. PAR level - I am sure they will be fine for a 75 Gallon tank.

What are your thoughts? Bueller, Bueller, Bueller?

Well if its' really a 6500K appearance it's going to look REALLY yellow. Could that light be intended for planted freshwater by any chance?

Krystal Clear in Auburn has them on some of their tanks. They're not yellow at all (They're actually pretty nice, and I'd consider them if I didn't want something more controllable), so I don't know if there are different models with different temperatures. Like jfourn said, its about a 12k look.

i have a ufo and its bright i can sustain a maxima clam in it with no issues and my corals have been growing fast in the tank with no issues

i bought mine from kca in auburn and the setup is 90 watts but this thing has the same cap of a 250 metal halide but a better look to it not dull or yellow at all i would recomend them to any of you well worth the money
