Banana Wrasse Q's

i would like to get one, but i am worried about how aggressive he will get. also, i expect him to eat crabs and snails, but what about starfish? would he go after them also? any info would be appreciated. thanks.

looks similar to a coris / lunar wrasse as far as body shape goes. and i know with those guys they definately pose a threat to inverts. i had a lunar and a coris that would pluck snails off the glass and eat them, tip hermits over and eat them. definately worms, but not sure about starfish.

i had a bird wrasse and i would watch him do that to snails and hermits, so i am expecting that. i haven't heard much about stars though.

That's one big wrasse. I've seen lunars pick eyes off of other fish. They're not very friendly.

i had one in a fish only , it would take food from my sharks mouth,2-3'' silversides. not sure with live fish but i would say it would be a risk.

3 star fish went missing but i could not say who did it. i had 5 triggers with him

buddie, did the one you have look like the link above? i am wondering how accurate the picture is. i know that they are aggressive. you are supposed to add them last to the tank, which i eventually plan on doing. i am going to get a small one and try it out.

also, off topic, did you have triggers in with a shark? i have heard that the triggers will peck the eyes of the shark. is that true?
