Black or clear silicone

I finally ordered a new tank today. it’s A rimless 120 ish with an external overflow. I keep going back and forth Between black or clear silicone and I need to decide real soon. Is there a down side to clear?

I prefer black seams as they look better to my eyes.

They can both look nice. Black silicone hides the algae and uglies better. I usually associate Clear silicone with freshwater.

+1 I was dealing with that last night when I did a water change and a deep cleaning scraping and it was driving me nuts that I couldn't clean it better
