blasto wellsi question

I have mine under halides about 8 inches from the bottom in a 65gal tank and they look shriveled all the time. Also have some decent but not overpowering flow on them and they still don't open. Anyone have experience w these? Do they need to be target fed? Did a search but found no info. Thanks

I have Merletti in my tank. Med to med/low flow and they're always expaned. I target feed a mysid once and a while too. Hope it helps.

low light, med flow and feed regularly meaty foods....I feed blastos twice a week

Put them in a cave or under a ledge...Never fed mine & they are thriving in the cave. They get fed when the fish get fed daily. No target feeding just what flows around the tank. Colors are awesome & they are always expanded. (until lighting is shut off)HTH
