Calcium reactors

My effluent tube is constantly clogging. Does anyone have a suggestion how to stop that from happening all the time?

Is it the tube or the actual valve? I used a needle valve for awhile and ended up having issues with it. I now use a john guest fitting and I very rarely have issues. I also was having issues when I was feeding mine with a Maxi Jet. I now feed it from my return pump and I dont have issues.

Good Luck

It could be the needle valve. But I have the valve before the reactor so no calcium goes through the valve. I am feeding it from my return pump. I could take the needle valve out and swap for a John guest ball valve and try that though.

When I used to run a Ca reactor I had a lot of clogging issues when I used the ARM fine media, but switching to ARM course seemed to reduce the clogging a lot. Of course if it's the neddle valve before the reactor that's clogging then that's not the problem.
