Changing out sand

Going to be starting my 90g to 150g upgrade in the next week and was contemplating changing out my white sand to all black. I use "That Pet/Fish Place" alote for misc. items and came across this:

I know the "live sand" is a little bit of a hoax but trying to find a way to do a complete change out without having a cycle. All has been going well for a few years and I decide to throw a monkey wrench in and upgrade..........

Thoughts/opinions?

Major hoax, I tried it before and I swear it took longer to cycle than regular sand....be careful.

Has anyone tried completely changing out there sand on an established tank?
