cleaning an acrylic refuge

What can I clean my refuge with in order to prep it for resealing? I had a seam split and I want to run a bead of weld-on 16 along all of the joints to re-seal it. The insides are covered with coraline and dried up fuge scum. I can scrape alot of it, but there are corners and such I can't reach. I don't care if the cleaner effects the acrylic in any cosmetic way as long as it still reacts to the weld-on. Any ideas?

There is a guy on R.C. who goes by the name of Acrylic, he could answer your question, he makes Acrylic tanks for a living.

vinegar should get you a long way with the coraline.
