Decalcifying a pump

~Flighty~

Now with more baby
I've got a Dolphin Ampmaster 3000 pump here, and, well, it's been a while since it's been installed. I'd like to decalcify it, but I'm not sure what the best
approach is.

The wet stage of the pump is not submersible AFAIK. Was thinking of plumbing a 5 gal bucket to the input/output, then running a vinegar solution through the pump. Not sure about effect on seals, though. Anyone have any suggestions?

Too lazy to sign on as myself...

Thats your best option. Just plumb it to a 5 or larger bucket. Get a mix of water and vinegar and let it run. I dont know how the seals of the ampmaster will handle the vinegas solution, but my mags dont show no ill effects.

I think the plumbing is the problem. Custom parts for the pump that are part of our system plumbing or something?
