I just purchased this coral life compact fluorescent fixture on eBay really cheap, however the quad bulbs are very difficult to find. I wanted to convert it to HO T5 or 2 compact fluorescent it has a 96 W ballast (So I’m not sure the length or the wattage of the bulbs to use to equal 96w very unfamiliar with fluorescent). I can solder and I’m pretty good with technical stuff (does it matter if the bulbs fired in a series or parallel ) so if I had to buy new fixture mounts it wouldn’t be a problem . Is it possible and how difficult thanks a bunch Steve!

Maybe I should just stick with the quad bulb compact Fluorescent (Impossible to find) I did want to add some LED strips could someone recommend some really compact Quality thin LED strips I might be able to mount to the underbelly of the fixture?

Well my $10 96w quad tube compact fluorescent coral light fixture came today very happy with it other than the fact that a 14 inch quad tube lamp cf is going to be very difficult to find. I’d like to leave it the way it is it actually fits perfect and I might even stay with the LED programmable 26w light strip that I had on it before and that way I could run maybe 6500K for the quad T fives and individual red/green/blue (10,000k) combo for the LEDs that should give me something good looking 8200k And effective 112w for my live planted bio cube.

The first picture is when I restocked it with plants but I wasn’t able to maintain them with just the LEDs. So I really substrated it redosed increased water change and bought the quad T5
