Looking to buy an emerald crab that has been seen, and actually prefers, bubble algae.

Reef cleaners guarantees their emeralds to eat bubble algae, I got pitho crabs from them and they have smaller claws can’t really hurt any fish or other animals in the tank. They are decor crabs so they may frag a coral here and there and there. I have only seen feather dusters on mine. Also never read about them getting a taste for corals. They also are said to eat bubble algae. Just an option possibly for you if you don’t find anything locally mine seem to have eaten some bubble algae possibly. I only have a few small patches.

Agreed on reef cleaners. I bought my emerald from them at it is my best algae eater, even better than my kole tang. Ate all (reachable) Valonia, then mowed through colonial hydroids, then some stubborn Bryopsis or similar. Hasn’t eaten corals and I’d forgive it if it snacked a bit anyway. Real workhorse
