Encrusting Gorg vs. Monti Cap

A patch of encrusting gorgonian is creeping up on a green monti cap which has nicely attached itself to the edge of a rock. Are these two going to quarrel? Do I need to move one? And if I do, can I peel off the gorg? or will it just grow back.

The Gorg will win the battle. I could never get it to peel off. I used to use Kalk paste on it. Then I got rid of it and the rock it was on.
It will over grow the whole tank if you let it.
