Evan's 80 gallon reef

Just wanted to share a few pics of my reef with you guys. I started it in September I believe so it's fairly new but I think it's coming along well. Diatoms are past and I think things are settling out well. Just upgraded my skimmer to the Vertex Omega 150 which is a monster and works really well. I also added an MP10 and a WP40 so I have some serious flow. The tank is bare bottom and utilizes a settling tank for detritus removal. Here are some pics of the setup and such.

Looks like a battery back-up to me I like it! Great way to gain some time in a power outage. I have one with an external battery. With one 300w heater and one eheim 1500, I get roughly 6-7 hour run time.

Yes that's my UPS battery back up for the system. It runs a MP10 and a 150 watt heater during short power outages while I'm at work or at night. Just a little added piece of mind when I'm not around. It worked great for like 3 hours last week. It's a 1500 va unit I got for 150 bucks.

Couple update pics. My SPS are encrusting and starting to grow. The hair algae is finally starting to recede some do hopefully that will be gone soon.
