I just want to post this hear in case anyone ever searches for whether Fiji Refugium mud is anything worth while to add.
I should have known better and is the biggest mistake to date in my tank, it was a suggested add-on when I was buying some other stuff on one of the sites and price was not bad so in my haste to make the best tank I could and reading the reviews about how wonderful it was I bought a bucket of it and put it in my refugium.
Let me tell you this stuff is more silt than mud, lift a rock in the refugium and the whole tank is cloudy for hours. the directions say when doing anything in the refugium shut off the return pump for 30 minutes and allow the mud to settle, well it never does. I spent a good chunk of today with a wet dry vac trying to suck this gunk out of my refugium. I got probably 90% of it out but it was so cloudy I could not see what I was doing.
DO NOT PURCHASE!! such a PITA I could not stand it anymore and can't wait to get it all out.
