Float switch on sump pump

ceige

always wet hands.....
Does anyone have a design (or link to one) for a float switch that will turn off my sump pump in case of a siphon break on my drain? I have never seen one and would like to put on my sump just in case??.thanks!

I also am curious about this...

just in case something clogs in the tube, or siphon breaks.

I was looking at doing the same thing after my cat pulled out one of the return hoses. If you look at the post from RC you should be able to set it up so the pump would turn off if the sump goes to high or low, siphon break or clogged tube. I didn't do it because I am afraid of the pump going off when it shouldn't and causing no flow in the tank. Maybe someone with more experience would have a better opinion. HTH
