Fluval tank

Does anyone know if a Fluval tank can support softies, zoas? The tanks I'm talking about are the shrimp or plant ones, they are about 7.9g. I wouldn't use the c02 or the shrimp things, but I mean the tank, filter and the power compact lighting?

I know there are some members here who have them. I think they change the light though and I know I have seen a build thread here where someone drilled it and used a sump.

Any tank will work just need good lighting. Dump the pc and stik some leds in there and it will be fine.

I currently have a fluval edge with some modded lights. I've been able to keep zoas, hammer corals, acans, mushrooms, and a duncan sucessfully. I had a goby and pistol shrimp pair, but the goby went missing.

I replaced the MR-11 sockets with MR-16 sockets and went with these lights: http://www.ledwholesalers.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=537

They are really yellow, and not the right color, so I've supplemented with a 50/50 PC bulb as well as a blue LED strip. If I were in a place to start fresh, I think I would just use a bunch eco pico strips. I currently have an all blue as my moon light and I love the look. Here's a link to the strips: http://www.ecoxotic.com/eco-pico.html

I really love the tank. If you're going to keep a fish, you'll need to be very religious about your water change. When I had a fish, I would do 1 gallon per week without fail. I can go a bit longer now since I don't really need to feed.

Let me know if I can help in any way.
