I recently moved and was able to jump back in after 10 years away.
I don't have an ro/di yet, and there aren't any lfs close by, I'm in downtown New Bedford.
I'm running a 29 biocube, rimless, no ato yet, but soon.
I'm cycling my tank and have needed to top off around a 1/2 gl. Per day. I read RC threads about distilled water and decided to use it during the cycle being fully aware of the old wives tale about copper pipe used etc.. the debate should be over.. no copper in on the shelf distilled water. Still its not 0 ppm like RO.
Today i found this water. It's
RO/DI filtered, no flouride or mineral added.
$1.69 per gallon but available in a pinch!!!
