Goby/shrimp question.

Will a diamond watchman goby host a shrimp?

Might work, but all depends on the fish. In the past I've had luck with Yellow Watchman Goby and shrimp pairing. The diamond we had showed no interest.

I had 2 diamonds at different times without shrimps and from their behavior I doubt it. They are terrific sand bed cleaners and would make laps around the tank cleaning.My watchman paired up and would stay close to where he burrowed. Although I don't think I will keep another pistol shrimp as it killed off my fire shrimp and hermits.

Diamond gobies won't pair with a pistol shrimp. They do have a hide/cave but they don't spend much time inside it.

Absolutely Beautiful. I’ve tried with them and failed. I’m totally jealous. Perhaps someday.

Thats fabulous. I wonder if I add a pink bar and shrimp if they’ll fight over who’ll get the pet shrimp.
