Has anyone tried or have a thermostat

I was wondering if you could set up a thermostat type of thing on a tank? I have one one my snake cage and it works great!. I set thermostat to the desired temp and put the probe where I want the correct temp and and it turns on and shuts off as needed.

this is more or less how one can set up a controller with a temperature probe.

controller like an apex or reefkeeper does thas as well as control lots of other things like lights, dosing pumps, ect. Or just a simple temperature controller like a ranco temp controller will do this.

This is something very common in the hobby.

I run a herpstat on my rack.. what kind of housing do you have? (I keep a good number of corns)..
