Having trouble with Brown Algae in my Reef Tank? Any one Help?

Tanks been up and running now for about 2 Months and about a week ago now my tank became filled with Brown Algae. If any one can give me any Pointers on how to get rid of it or any help at all it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Damien.

its normal for new tanks to get it. what kind of water are you using though

start with syphonng it out and blowing it off the rocks
hopefully having the water drain into a sock of filter

this is a normal stage in cycling but some water parameters would help. its a diatom break out. it comes at the end of the cycle.

True it's quite normal to have a diatom bloom in a new tank.
But,beware of what you use for top off water and mix water.Diatoms grow using silicates in water.
If you don't use good quility ro/di the bloom will continue to survive.
