my own mini ocean
trying to plan out what i want to do after i finish my biocube hqi project...... so wont be setting this up or a while. but just looking to get some ideas for the future.

Im thinking a :

Fluval EDGE
with LED lighting

Or

Custom tank
36 (Long, left to right)
10 (Wide, Front to back)
10 (Tall)
this would be custom built from miraclesaquariums.com with starphire glass and rimless, maybe black silicone. (dimensions may change, only by a few inchs either way, will stay in the 12-15 gallon range)

its about 15.5 gallons

let me know what you guys think

:.

thanks all

I would do a shallow tank... something different than your average aga tank... just imagine a cube take like 40x40x10 or something like that lol

now thats nice! I wanted that elos 20 mini setup without the led's though. $900 :(

Yeah, they are rediculously expensive, but i heard they're top-notch. Thinking about getting one maybe. Or.... i might just setting for something cheaper :D haha

A huge turn off for me is the shipping price... Freaking 150 bucks from Marine depot to get it shipped.

I am not a big fan of fluval edges so I would go with the other option. This company ADA makes top notch stuff as well so you might want to check them out.

ADA aquariums are absolutely gorgeous. They're also a great resource for aquascaping small aquariums.

If the prices are too steep, here are some alternatives:

yea im not crazy about the edge also. i kinda think the FW shrimp tank at tropic isle is pretty cool but its not worth the price. id say go big , or at least go with a corner tank my 54 takes up very little room if thats a issue.

I agree With Lee..... Im a big fan the shallow cube style tanks, There is a guy on the boards with a shallow tank that is pretty sweet IMO. Makes it really easy to feed LPS if your into that type of stuff :)

How about a zero edge? They have a 20g shallow tank and a 35 gallon tank that might be around the size you want
