Okay, I will be honest. Last time I tested my water parameters was month and half back. Now when I tested it last weekend, all other parameters except alkalinity were fine. My parameters are -
Salinity ---- 1.025
Temperature (F) ---- 75
PH ---- 8.2
Alkalinity (meg/l) ---- 2.1
Ammonia (NH3) ---- 0
Nitrate (NO3) ---- 0
Nitrite (NO2) ---- 0.05
Mg (ppm) ---- 1300
Ca (ppm) ---- 425
As per my test kit, the recommended alkalinity for reef aquariums is between 3-4.8 meg/L.
Any idea how to increase alkalinity without increasing PH too much? Would Kent Pro Buffer work?
