help with coral life super skimmer

I have the 125 model coral life ss and I turned it off for a few days and when I went to start it back up I have a problem with a ton of micro bubbles. It is set up as a HOB of my sump and it has the bubble diffuser but the water is just overflowing and creating bubbles going to my sump, then the rtn pump, and into my display tank. Any one have one as well and know of any tricks to get this set right? I was playing with the dial but the slightest move was making pretty drastic changes in the level of the bubbles in the collection cup and I can't get it set back up right. Thanks in advance.

The film that it creates dried up and now it has to go through a break in all over again.

Is there a way to prevent all the bubbles though? Thats my main concern I don't want to have bubbles in my display and end up with tons of bubble algae.

The bubbles will go away in a day or 2, and to my knowledge bubble algae isn't caused from bubbles in the tank.

ya, bubble algae is not filled with air

i have the same skimmer also had the same problem, it allcleared up after 3 days
