So i have a hippo tang that seems to have "crypto"...hes almost a foot long so a quarintine tank isnt much of an option... any suggestions on what to treat with ? salinity and parameters are all normal....only addition to the tank was a 2 inch hippo and a 2 inch clown about two months ago both seem to be healthy

How long has it been in the current tank and the tank size please?

I just used a 1 hour ParaGuard dip on my infected hippo and it cleared the Crypto right up and the hippo was back to normal and eating shortly after. Though as I put him back in the display tank, it’s just a stop gap until he can fight off the parasite or I can treat the whole tank. If you don’t have ParaGuard on hand, I’d grab some in case things go downhill and you need to treat quickly. However, it’s not reef safe, but nothing that treats parasites is.

When i got up to go to work this morning I thought he might be able to survive another hour...came home tonight and it looks the healthiest i've ever seen it lol
