kalk mix

alright so i just got my RODI system and started to mix some kalk into the water (only about 2.5 gallons ) for my home built gravity ATO.. how long should i let it sit for and what should it look like when its done?.. is there anyway to really tell is it mixed well?...

When the water looks clear and the clowdiness has settled out it's good to go. You will want to mix it in a seperate container from the ATO, or at least have the tube feeding the ATO elevated off of the bottom of the container because there will be some kalk powder/paste that will settle on the bottom of the container you mix it in.

Be careful with kalk in a graivity ATO though, kalk has amazing powers to clog float valves.
