Live rock from a tank with red bugs

Last research I read about was that red bugs (Tegastes acroporanus) under observation did not live after 5 days, 120 hours without a host. The hosts are corals under the genus Acropora, but not all species of Acropora corals. There is a broad spectrum of medicinal dosages that can be used as Acropora seem to be fairly resilient to it (interceptor). There have been a few cases in which there was coral die off. Duration of the treatment is very important regardless of the amount of medication dosed.

Well I am leaving it up to the tank owner. I recommended she treat it but left it up to her. She went back and got some more of the same rock. There are some zoa's and maybe some encrusting corals. I did not see any colored sticks but she does not have a light yet. This weekend we started glueing/epoxing the rock to make a nice pile of rock. No getting around it in this tank. Thanks for the suggestions every one.
