Looking for some things

That's my understanding Steve. Acrylic and glass tanks with a flush bottom should be on some sort of stiff foam, and tanks with a bottom rim should only make contact along that trim.

The only sort of foam I would use under a glass tank with trim would be the very thin thin stuff, but only under the trim to account for very small imperfections in the stand. You don't want anything that will make contact with the glass and apply any sort of preasure to the bottom of the tank.
