My Mandarin Diner

As some of you know, I wanted to help my hungry mandarin a couple of months ago. Since then, I've received quite a bit of email asking for more details. So here is a webpage about it.

This is not designed so you can go buy a mandarin and feed it with this method. However, if yours is going hungry, it may help it improve.

If you are considering buying a Mandarin, please read this article first:

Happy reefing!

Marc,

I've been using your method as you may recall by my post, I have the same problem with my Blennie "Fat Goober" thinks I'm going through all this for him.

I use a shot glass and I think he lives there now. He's in it alot.

Isn't it amazing how versatile a shot glass is? Can support a 1 oz fish as well as a 200 pound man :).

If you'll look at the area of the fish's stomach behind the fins it uses to manuever, it should look plumb and solid. If it looks sunken in, or you can see a horizontal line (that reminds you of a spinal cord?) then the fish is going hungry.

Aparently the diner section is closed. Not that I have a manderin, but I was curious what method was used.
