What are people using for Calcium? I know a lot of you have reactors, but was just wondering if people are buying fish store brands. If so whats the brand of choice?

I'm keeping the skimmer and going to start up with some LPS.

bulkreefsupply.com is becoming more and more popular for this kind of thing

I imagine their product is some good quality stuff. Does it compare to the bionic 2-part?

I can't comment, I havent' used their products, but they claim that their stuff is safe and appropriate.

IIRC there is a vendor exp thread somewhere in that forum, take a look.

Bulk Reef is likely a fine source, as is this one probably OK:

http://www.buckeyefieldsupply.com/Calcium-c66.html

but it turns out quite a lot of people have used the new Dowflake with no apparent issues. We've never really known if there would be any issue from elevated bromide, we were just very cautious about it.

Here's a thread about t it:

http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1527547

I have been following the threads on RC but am still hesitant to use the new dowflake even with 3 bags at my hardware store. I went and got some b-ionic

I hope the long term affects are minimal.

please excuse my lack of understanding all the math formulas but with more water changes will the build up of bromide be less? I do 2 10% water changes a week.
