Overflow Cap for a Glass Cages Tank

Did the "Norm Abram Box Joint Jig" for an overflow cap. Was going to use a router with my dovetail jig, but I liked the narrow slots of sump/fuge posted a week or two ago. Not a lot of algae(yet) in my tank, so not too concerned with clogging

what are you using that for? additional skimming for your O.F.? didnt it have teeth to begin with? or is that just a "fence" to keep fish out?

It is more or less a fence to keep fish out that sits on top of the overflow column. I did not buy the overflow option from Glass cages (180 gal), which looked more of a kluge than my arrangement.

I put in durso's, but have ignored the "fish guard", since the only fish for the last 7 months have been a clown, a small tang and 4 shrimp, which have not taken a trip though the plumbing. I am now thinking of adding flasher wrasses and a possible jawfish, so ...time to seal up the top, so they don't end up in the sump or on the floor.
