Red slime

So I brought this up before but I can't kill my red slime issues for 3 months my nitrates are at 4 and phosphate reads between 0.02 and 0.04 hard to tell with red sea kit so I am wondering if I should ditch my biopellets
 
I ran into the same problem in the first 2 months but after treating the tank with chemiclean,
Water change maintenance on your tank before they come back again every 3 weeks max
I always try to stay ahead before another outbreak make sure your sump is doing the works plenty of macro algae
 
I've had some bad outbreaks over the last couple of years despite test kit readings of zero nitrates and zero phosphates. UltraLife Red Slime Remover worked great and killed probably 99% of it.

My latest theory on keeping nuisance algae and cyano under control is to really focus on keeping the macro algae in my refugium healthy by having the correct lighting, enough nutrients for the macro algae (by feeding more) and sufficient trace elements (in particular iron).
