seahorse has bloated belly

my male hippo erectus male has been floating on the top for almost a week and its not holding.what is the easiest and safest way for me to help him? hes in a 29 gal tank with refugium,temp set at 75degrees-25 watt sterilizer used at intervales,constant water changes,a good skimmer,and noalgae to speak of.all parameters perfect

Hi sorry to hear he is not feeling good. I've never had to deal with it, but sounds like he has air in his pouch. Go to seahorse.org look in the library or the forums . I guess it is fairly common, if it happens once It will most likely happen again. Good luck
