Found this on Tenecor's website! Did anyone know about this? I am surprised I didn't hear about it.
November15, 2008 -- Tenecor Aquariums, the leading manufacturer of residential and commercial aquarium systems since 1985, today announced that, they will be the exclusive manufacturer and procurement agent for the University of Massachusetts' New Bedford Aquarium Project. Tenecor will be working closely with Gibbons Aquaria Inc. during the implementation of this project.
A new aquarium complex is now taking shape in New Bedford. When it is completed, it will be one of the largest in the world, with a combined tank capacity of over 2 million gallons. One single tank alone will hold 1.2 million gallons. Apart from sheer size, it's four components -- the Aquarium, the Explorium,The Center for Science Education and Economic Development (SEED), and a Large Format Film Theater (LFFT) -- will make it unique among aquariums of the world.
Maybe some boston reefers have a get together there.
