Starry blenny

Any one that has had or does have a story blenny ever see it start turning white? Is this like a defence tactic? Or stressed out?

I have one and it will make dramatic color change depending on the situation.
Is it being bothered by any of its tank mates?

My Starry blenny had a tendency to turn lighter when I first put him in because he was being harassed by a large Watchman goby. That did not last long because he/she has established itself in the tank pecking order.

No he's not being harassed seems to be getting along fine. I think it might be because the lights are off in the tank and I turned on the light in the room. Freaked me out as he is a new fish to the tank. I was like omg! Ich! Lol

Yup normal. Fish change color a for a few reason rest (conserve energy) stress (lack of energy) defense (camouflage)

But always something to watch for a bit to make sure the fish is not stressed/sick/being harassed

Yes my starry blenny's last bit of his tail got lighter when I put him in. It's spotting back now weeks later.

Mine shifts color, but I`ve never seen him go white.

My favorite fish by far.
